Social ethics and practices for our students, while always important, has become an extremely hot topic lately with the advent of the computer and the Internet. Too often we hear about students getting into trouble or behaving in a way that tends to be socially unacceptable. Ironically, this is also a time when more and more schools and teachers are attempting to institute various programs and strategies to increase civility into the classroom. The North Central Regional Educational Laboratory has some very useful resources for teachers on a host of technology related issues, including privacy, security, equality, literacy, intellectual property, ethical conduct, etiquette and more.
