Shop now for your classroom needs - Shop at Amazon.com and make your purchase count for the IFT! The CTA Institute for Teaching has joined Amazon.com’s Associates Program to form Learning & Resource Centers in support of TeacherDrivenChange. Hundreds of books, materials, and classroom supplies have been selected and grouped in three Learning & Resource Centers: Professional Development, Elementary Education, and Secondary Education. Within these Centers there are also a variety of resources on student services, the fine arts, and the community college.
Click the Learning & Resource Center links - When you use the Learning & Resource Center links to make a purchase, the IFT receives a referral fee for sales of qualifying books and products. Amazon.com is responsible for all aspects of the ordering, processing, and delivering of merchandise. The IFT will receive periodic reports summarizing sales activity, but all personally identifiable customer information is subject to Amazon.com’s privacy policy and will not be shared with the IFT.
Begin a search - A search engine is provided for each Learning & Resource Center. The search engine will help you quickly find a list of books and resources by author, title or topic. Contact us if you are not able to find a particular book or a specific resource. Please provide the name and the author of the book. We will make sure to expand the Center to reflect your needs.
Write a review & other activities - You are encouraged to write a review of the books you select. Your reviews will help other teachers determine if a particular book is appropriate for their needs and interests. Other activities you may want to consider include:
- Using the Learning & Resource Centers to help build and supplement your curriculum
- Supporting your own professional and academic studies and advancement
- Collaborating with other teachers in meeting the individual needs of students
- Providing parents with the necessary resources to help support their children’s education
- Contacting and working with your school site council to determine how each of the Learning Resource Centers can help your school and students
