Learning & Resource Centers

IFT joins with Amazon.com - Are you an algebra, chemistry, or language arts teacher?  Do you teach preschool, sixth grade, or high school civics?  Perhaps, you are a school counselor, librarian, special educator, or school nurse. Whatever your grade, subject, or discipline the IFT has a book and resource for you. The Learning & Resource Centers provide one-stop, just-in-time support for your everyday teaching needs, including lesson plans, strategic goals for your classroom, and alignment to state standards.

Shop now for your classroom needs and make your purchase count for the IFT!  The CTA Institute for Teaching has joined Amazon.com’s Associates Program to form Learning & Resource Centers in support of TeacherDrivenChange.  Hundreds of books, materials, and classroom supplies have been selected and grouped in two Learning & Resource Centers:

Preschool & Elementary Learning & Resource Center

Secondary Learning & Resource Center

When you use the Learning & Resource Center links to make a purchase, the IFT receives a referral fee for sales of qualifying books and products.  Amazon.com is responsible for all aspects of the ordering, processing, and delivering of merchandise. The IFT will receive periodic reports summarizing sales activity, but all personally identifiable customer information is subject to Amazon.com’s privacy policy and will not be shared with the IFT.

Begin a search - A search engine is provided for each Learning & Resource Center. The search engine will help you quickly find a list of books and resources by author, title or topic.  Contact the IFT if you are not able to find a particular book or a specific resource.  Please provide the name and the author of the book.   We will make sure to expand the Center to reflect your needs.

Write a Review - You are encouraged to write a review of the books you select.  Your reviews will help other teachers determine if a particular book is appropriate for their needs and interests.  Other activities you may want to consider include:

  • Using the Learning & Resource Centers to help build and supplement your curriculum
  • Supporting your own professional and academic studies and advancement
  • Collaborating with other teachers in meeting the individual needs of students
  • Providing parents with the necessary resources to help support their children’s education
  • Contacting and working with your school site council to determine how each of the Learning Resource Centers can help your school and students

Let us know what you think - We are pleased to have this fund-raising opportunity for the CTA IFT.  Let us know your thoughts on the books and resources you find in the Preschool & Elementary and Secondary Learning & Resource Centers.  In addition to helping you with your teaching and learning needs, we hope the Centers will contribute to teacher research, development, and implementation of authentic school improvement.  Make sure to contact the IFT regarding any ideas or suggestions you have for improving the IFT Learning & Resource Centers.
